What’s the role?

As Bilo’s Senior Accountant, your job is not simply to keep the books. You will be responsible for building the financial operating system of the company, making sure our numbers are accurate, our processes are structured, and management always has a clear view of the financial health of the business.

You will start hands-on, organizing the accounting function, establishing processes, and creating reliable reporting. From there, your role extends into profitability, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial insights that help us make better decisions.

We want someone who doesn’t just tell us what happened, but helps us understand why it happened, what it means, and what we should do next.

What You’ll Do

• Build the Foundations: Take ownership of Bilo’s day-to-day accounting, ensuring our financial records, accounting structure, reconciliations, and supporting documentation are accurate and properly maintained.
• Build the Processes: Create and continuously improve clear processes for invoicing, collections, payments, expenses, approvals, financial controls, and the tools needed to support them.
• Understand the Business: Track and analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and cash flow to identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the business.
• Give Management Visibility: Build reliable monthly reporting, budgets, and forecasts that give management clear visibility into performance, cash position, runway, and the financial implications of key decisions.
• Keep Us Ready: Maintain clean and organized financial records while coordinating with external advisors and supporting tax, compliance, fundraising, investor reporting, audits, and due diligence.
